In October 2019, the General Committee (GC) made three proposals with renderings and budgets to make improvements to the Club’s Pool deck. A membership vote was held. Members voted to do nothing.

In February 2022, Management recommended a small budget of $500K for FY2023 to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of pool deck, taking into account capital costs and expected maintenance costs. The GC approved the budget in May 2022.

Two GC Members were tasked to gather facts, data, staff opinions and report directly to the GC. They requested three callouts for an Advisory Panel of architectural/design professionals – Pool Area Design Advisory Council (PADAC) – to assist the Club with a holistic approach. 15 Members applied from a variety of professional backgrounds, three were selected.

The Advisory Council will meet after this year’s Annual General Meeting with the objective to set priorities and improve the pool deck with the $500K budget by August 2023.
