Appointment of the New General Manager

The Club is excited to announce that Christine Kaelbel-Sheares will be joining as the new General Manager on December 15, 2023.

Christine is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in both Singapore and the United States. She led teams in the world’s most prestigious hotels, such as The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas, after starting her career at The Ritz Carlton London. Christine has additionally led teams while working in the United States at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, Auberge du Soleil Resort and Domaine Chandon, both in Napa Valley, California. She was also the Director of Guest Product Development and Asia Operations for Princess Cruises, where she oversaw a fleet of ships in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, concurrently directing the onboard guest experience.

In her most recent role, Christine was responsible for the strategic planning and management of all food and beverage operations, including in-room dining, catering and banqueting, as the Vice President of Food & Beverage at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. She was part of the pioneer team and was instrumental in designing and refining service protocols and setting new standards for service excellence.

Raised in Singapore, during which Christine enjoyed coming to our Club and others throughout the island, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Politics from the University of London and then further completed her postgraduate studies in Hospitality Management at the Cesar Ritz Colleges in Switzerland. Christine fluently speaks English, French, Mandarin and Cantonese and brings to our Club a unique breadth of experience and qualifications to support our wonderfully diverse membership.

In her new role as our General Manager, Christine will incorporate her love of the Singaporean and American communities and cultures, her extensive global experience in executive management, and her passion for service, to elevate our Club’s overall Member experience. Christine is excited to further enhance our Club offerings and the overall membership experience by driving product development, optimizing service protocols and implementing best-in-class practices.
