About The Speaker
Chun Han Wong, covering Chinese politics and foreign policy for The Wall Street Journal since 2014, has written extensively on topics spanning elite politics, Communist Party doctrine, human rights, and diplomatic affairs. As part of a Pulitzer Prize finalist team in 2021, he authored "Party of One: The Rise of Xi Jinping and China's Superpower Future". It was published in May 2023. A London School of Economics graduate , Chun Han began his reporting career in 2010, focusing on politics and business across Southeast Asia.

Steven Okun's 30-year career in public affairs includes leadership positions in the Clinton Administration, business and industry associations. He is the CEO of APAC Advisors, a Singapore headquartered ESG and stakeholder consultancy, and senior Advisor to global geostrategic consultancy McLarty Associates. He has lived in Singapore since 2003.
