Mitjavile Wine Dinner

This may sound like a contradiction but if anyone can successfully bring together the hedonistic and the precise, it is the Mitjavile family. These three estates, one in prime Saint-Émilion, and the others on the banks of the Dordogne, are united by a common approach: the quest for ultimate fruit expression. It finds its best outlet in these mature vineyards whose vines possess a certain natural harmony and can safeguard freshness alongside high levels of fruit ripeness. The personality of the Merlot grape is also deeply entwined with the melded intensity and velvety opulence of these wines.

About the Speaker

Nicolas Deneux, an esteemed professional in the wine world, currently serves as the Operations Manager for Asia at Corney & Barrow. For over a decade, Nicolas polished his skills in renowned Parisian establishments such as “La Tour d’Argent”, “Le Meurice” and “Le Plaza Athénée”, before taking on significant roles in Hong Kong, as Chief Sommelier at Intercontinental and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at the Grand Hyatt. Then he spent two years exploring winemaking in Burgundy’s Puligny-Montrachet before joining the Rosewood Hotels group as the Area Wine Director for Asia. Now, in his current role at Corney & Barrow, Nicolas continues to expand his expertise and influence within the wine industry.
