Château d’Esclans, inspired in design by a Tuscan villa, was constructed during the mid-nineteenth century and is situated in the heart of Provence. With his acquisition of the Château in 2006, Sacha Lichine’s vision was to create the greatest rosés in the world, igniting the “Rosé Renaissance”. Now in its seventeenth vintage, Château d’Esclans is home to Whispering Angel.
Join Benjamin Smadja as he shares his experience and different approaches which the estate uses to craft their wines. This wine luncheon will be an excellent opportunity to taste their bestsellers which are made from grapes exclusively from the vineyards of Château d’Esclans.

About the Speaker
Benjamin Smadja was born in Paris and always had an interest in wine and the hospitality world since a young age. Following his passion, he enrolled at Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne in Switzerland in 2016. Upon return to Paris, Benjamin started his career in the food and beverage industry as chef de rang, rising through the ranks to manager.
His interest in wines led him to obtain a Wine Spirit and Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 certification, and he subsequently became a sommelier in a one-star Michelin restaurant. To be immersed in a wine estate, Benjamin worked in the retail shop of Château d’Esclans until he became Brand Ambassador for the estate. Having grown up in Singapore, he did not hesitate to relocate when he was requested to represent Château d’Esclans in Singapore.
