Founded in 1985, Artadi began as a cooperative venture with 13 local vine growers in Laguardia. Under Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle's leadership, it swiftly became a leader in Rioja's wine scene. Known for wines like Pagos Viejos, Grandes Anadas, and Vina El Pison, Artadi embodies purity and terroir expression, consistently receiving acclaim with scores over 90 points, including a perfect 100 for the 2004 vintage.

Patricia Lopez de Lacalle, the youngest daughter of Juan-Carlos Lopez de Lacalle, is a key figure in the family's winemaking legacy. Alongside her father, she upholds their commitment to sustainable winemaking, showcasing the unique characteristics of their award-winning organic wines and the diverse terroirs of their regions.
