Achaval Ferrer Wine Dinner

In 1998, a group of Italian and Argentine friends joined forces to make an ambitious dream become reality – the creation of world-class Argentine wine. The aim was to produce exceptional wines that remained faithful to the wine’s origins. This idea has become the core philosophy of Achaval Ferrer, where the vineyards and minimal human intervention are the keys to unlocking the secrets of terroir and typicity. This core philosophy and a focus on extreme quality are guided from vineyard to glass by their winemaking team led by Head Winemaker Gustavo Rearte.

About the Speaker
After experiencing winemaking in Napa Valley and New Zealand, Gustavo Rearte joined Achaval Ferrer in 2013 as its second winemaker. Since 2017, he has stepped up as Head Winemaker. Born and raised in Mendoza, Gustavo studied enology at Juan Agustín Maza University. In 2019, he was chosen Argentine young winemaker of the year by Vinomanos, Argentina’s most relevant wine publication.
