Founded in 1868 in South Australia’s Eden Valley, Henschke is a sixth-generation family-owned winery celebrated worldwide for its iconic Hill of Grace Shiraz. Blending tradition with sustainable practices and modern innovation, the estate has earned a prestigious reputation for quality, heritage, and terroir, making it one of Australia’s most respected wine producers.

Johann Krige, a sixth-generation winemaker from the Henschke family, holds a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology from Adelaide University and a Master of Viticulture from Geisenheim, Germany. With international experience at renowned wineries across Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and the USA, he returned to the family winery in 2013 and now serves as Business Development Manager, guiding the transition of Henschke into its sixth generation while based in Madrid with his wife and family.
