Join the Sommelier Hour session happening every Wednesday at The Gourmet Pantry. In this first edition, Master Sommelier and Director of Beverage Mathias Camilleri will uncork two exceptional bottles from the stunning island of Santorini, Greece.

For centuries, Santorini has been celebrated for its wine-making, dating back to ancient times and flourishing during the Middle Ages. Today, it’s renowned for its unique volcanic soil and indigenous grape varieties like the crisp Assyrtiko and bold Mavrotragano.

This session will showcase wines from Domaine Vassaltis, a modern winery from Greece founded in 2014 by three passionate winemakers, John Valampous, Elias Roussakis, and John Papaoikonomou. The name "Vassaltis" is a nod to the basaltic lava that shaped Santorini after a massive volcanic eruption thousands of years ago.
