About the Speaker
Jamus Lim is an associate professor of economics at ESSEC Business School and a member of the 14th Parliament of Singapore, representing Sengkang. He previously served as Chief Economist at ThirdRock Group, Lead Economist at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and Senior Economist at the World Bank. His research focuses on international macro-finance, political economy, and development economics, with work published in leading journals and policy reports. A seasoned communicator, his insights have appeared in the Financial Times, The Straits Times, BBC, CNA, and CNBC. Lim holds a first-class honors in economics from the University of Southern Queensland and advanced degrees from the London School of Economics, University of California, and Harvard University.
