Get acquainted with the unique culture, history and cultivation of one of Japan’s most enigmatic beverages, sake. Director of Mr Otaru, Eugene Wong, will take you through the history of sake and its diverse styles and taste profiles before embarking on a tasting session of five premium sakes.

Mr Otaru is a premium boutique sake purveyor that is dedicated to spreading the love of sake. Specializing in artisanal sake
labels that are exclusive to them, Mr Otaru distributes to high quality restaurants and specialist bars in Singapore.

Mr Otaru is helmed by Eugene Wong, an Advanced Sake Professional recognized by the Sake Education Council of Japan
and a Certified Sake Sommelier conferred by the Sake Sommelier Association. Eugene is passionate about enlightening the
public to the joys of Japanese sake and culture. He has been featured in publications such as Singapore Tatler, The Edge
and Channel News Asia.

The company has held educational workshops, appreciation and tasting sessions, and hosted private events for corporate
clients such as UBS, Credit Suisse, Charles Monat Associates, Estee Lauder, Hogarth Worldwide and more.
