1. Why is a price adjustment necessary?
Over the years, the Club has kept its products and services fairly priced while delivering the highest standard of quality possible. However, with the growing global cost inflation, higher energy prices and rising costs of materials and manpower, the Club has reviewed its pricing strategy. This is to ensure that the Club’s operations remain sustainable while allowing Members to continue enjoying good value.
The Club will be rolling out a progressive price adjustment on selected items across its products, services and membership-related fees between mid-December 2022 and January 2023.
The price adjustment exercise also accommodates the 1% Goods and Services Tax (GST) hike. Starting January 2023, the GST in Singapore will increase from 7% to 8% as announced during the Budget 2022 presentation by Singapore’s Ministry of Finance.
2. What prices and fees are affected?
Fees and prices for selected Club-wide products and services including but not limited to the following: membership joining fees, monthly dues, class fees, dining outlet menus, TAC2Go!, Bottles2Go!, Essentials2Go!, The Bowling Alley rental charges, Youth camp fees, sên Spa services and retail products, products sold at Essentials and The Gourmet Pantry, UNCORKED membership, laundry services and Thinkspace meeting room charges.
Pricing for all Club products and services are inclusive of GST. This means that the prices on all menus and price displays are the final price payable.
3. Are Membership fees affected?
Prices of the following Membership fees will be adjusted effective January 1, 2023 to accommodate the GST increase from 7% to 8%.
- Joining fees for all categories
- Membership Transfer fee
- Monthly Dues
- Visiting Membership
- Two-week Sampler Membership
- Absentee fee
- Annual Car Park fees
- Replacement card fee
4. Can I pay for my monthly dues and renewal fees in advance to avoid the GST increase?
Advance payment of monthly Dues and Term renewal for the year 2023 is not allowed. Monthly Dues and Term renewal payments will strictly follow the existing payment schedule.
5. How are the Niche Group qualification and requalification affected?
There are no changes to the Niche Group qualification and requalification requirements.
6. How will the value of Club vouchers be charged?
All Club vouchers will be charged at the prevailing prices, at the time of redemption.
