Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCOV) Update - Feb 6

On February 4, 2020, Singapore confirmed the first local transmission cluster of 2019-nCOV. Per the Ministry of Health (MOH), this is an isolated transmission cluster, and there is no evidence of widespread sustained community transmission in Singapore (click here to read more).

We encourage all Members to continue to practice good hygiene and follow the MOH health precautions below. Please also be aware that there are some unfounded rumors and inaccurate information circulating over social media, and the Singapore government has established a website to dispel such fake news (please see information sources below).

All Members should fill out the Travel and Health Declaration Form (one submission per card carrying Member – please find the link below) and continue to do your part to protect the community by refraining from visiting The Club if you and your family:

  • - are feeling unwell, or
  • - have been granted leave of absence from school or work, or
  • - have been in China in the last 14 days, or
  • - have had prolonged interaction with visitors from China in the last 14 days.

The Club is closely monitoring the situation and will stay responsive as it evolves. The Club may reschedule or cancel events or activities as needed and will try to give Members and guests as much notice as possible. The safety of our Members, guests and staff is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Current Measures
Member Events - Policy Update
To support the membership during this period, The Club is adopting a more flexible policy on Banquet event bookings. Members that are uncomfortable moving forward with scheduled events can provide one week notice (previously 30 days, as it represents opportunity forgone) to defer or reschedule any reservations with no financial penalty. If the provided notice is six days or less, a cancellation fee may apply as The Club may already have incurred event preparation cost.

Members that are uncomfortable sending their children to Club classes, activities or events can cancel or reschedule any reservations with no financial penalty.
Sên Spa - Temperature Checks
For the safety of our staff who are in close contact with those using the Spa, temperature checks will be implemented for everyone before appointments. Completing the Travel and Health Declaration Form will also be a requirement. All sên Spa staff have been issued face masks.
Temperature Checks
Temperature checks are in place for all staff, all persons entering sên Spa, The Quad, The Quad Poolside and the Kids' Library, all children attending Club-organized kids’ classes, activities and birthday parties, as well as before all Club-organized group fitness and adult recreation classes.
Anyone who runs a temperature over 37.8 degrees C will have their temperature taken again after a 10-minute waiting period. If a high temperature persists, the individual will be requested to return home and see a doctor.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
For your convenience, hand sanitizing stations can be found throughout the Clubhouse. We encourage Members to practice good hygiene and safeguard their health.

And finally, our front line teams will be reminding all Members and guests to complete Travel and Health Declaration Forms if they have not already done so. Thank you for your patience with our staff team as they go about this. If you are visiting The Club with guests, you can expedite entry by getting your guests to complete the declaration form accessible via the QR code below. Protecting the community is a joint effort.

We will continue to provide regular updates on the situation and all measures The Club puts in place to protect our Members. If you have any questions or concerns, please send them to

Best wishes,
Acting General Manager
