Safety and Security Watch Group (SSWG) Award

The Club is pleased to announce that it recently was awarded the Safety and Security Watch Group (SSWG) Award 2012 by Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for National Security & Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Teo Chee Hean. The award is given to organizations who display a high level of readiness when it comes to crisis management. For years, The Club has been working very closely with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to ensure safety and security for Members and staff. The Club has also chaired the SSWG Claymore cluster group since 2009.

Proximity Card Readers Going Online February 1

Beginning February 1, The Club will open up an additional lane at the entry to the car park. Both lanes are equipped with Proximity Card Readers located on the driver side. The IU control system will verify if your car IU number is registered. If so, your car number will be flashed on the LED display. If you car is not registered, please use the intercom to speak with a Security Officer who will assist you. Members walking in via the turnstile will need their new membership cards as Proximity Card Readers have also been installed there to control access. Please enter the turnstile one person at a time. Guests of Members should enter via The Club main entrance and register with the Concierge. The turnstile will operate between 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. If you have not picked up your new membership card, please pick it up at the Membership office at your earliest convenience to avoid issues entering the parking lot.

Membership Card Renewal

In line with The Club’s security measures, The Club replaces our current Membership Card every two years. Beginning December 17 to January 22, collection of your new Membership Card will take place Mondays to Fridays, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lobby; on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Membership Office. Apart from a new design, the cards will also incorporate a security chip that works with proximity sensors to be installed at the car park entrance when we open an additional lane to relief traffic congestion on Claymore Hill in January 2013. Members are encouraged to quickly pick up the new cards from early December to facilitate a smooth transition to this new security access system; all Members must have their ID cards ready and new cars registered before arriving at The Club to avoid delays. Please remember to bring your current Membership Cards to exchange for your new cards.
