Emerging in the Tang Dynasty and flourishing through writers like Jin Yong (Louis Cha), wuxia reflects Chinese codes of loyalty. This talk explores wuxia archetypes and concludes with a comparison to American counterparts, including the cowboy westerns epitomized by characters like Clint Eastwood’s The Man with No Name.
