Château Musar Wine Dinner

Château Musar was established by Gaston Hochar in 1930, inspired by Lebanon’s 6,000-year winemaking tradition and his travels in Bordeaux. His ‘wines with noblesse’ greatly impressed senior officers in the army following on from the French mandate of the 1920s. Major Ronald Barton, stationed in Lebanon during World War II, became a great friend, strengthening the links between Château Musar and Bordeaux that remain to this day.

About the Speaker
Ralph Hochar, third generation owner of Château Musar, joined the estate in 1999, focusing on European markets until 2008. Since then, he has been responsible for the expansion of Château Musar in the United Kingdom and strengthening Château Musar’s position in Southeast Asia and Australia. Ralph graduated from the American University of Paris in 1998 with a Bachelor of International Business Administration and a minor in International Economics. He also holds a Master in Wine Management from the International Organization of Vine and Wine.
