Aquatics

The Aquatics Department is dedicated to enriching lives through swimming. The Aquatics Programs caters to everyone – from babies and toddlers to school-age kids to adults.

The Club’s innovative teaching program advances skills in easy, achievable progressions. The Swim Team’s primary aim is to nurture junior swimmers into the world of competitive swimming. The Aquatics Department also encompasses Masters squads and Adults’ Learn-to-Swim, making the program one of the most well-rounded in Singapore.

Members are also provided with the opportunity to participate in private lessons, holiday swim camps, intensive stroke clinics and a range of in house swim meets. On top of that, the whole family can join in the fun on weekends with our inflatables and water play structures.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I determine my child’s swim level?

To ensure your child is placed in a class that best suits their needs, you will need to book a free assessment for each child over the age of three here or by emailing aquatics@amclub.org.sg . Babies and Toddlers do not require an assessment as levels are age based.

Yes, you can enroll your child in the program at any point in time. Classes are subject to availability. Please submit an enrollment form and we will be in touch with you within five working days.

There is no fixed duration for a child to remain in a particular level. Once the instructor feels that the swimmer can confidently complete all the skills needed in each level without prompting, they will then have them assessed by Zack, our Aquatics Coordinator. Each Spring and Fall program also includes two assessment weeks in which swimmers are assessed.

Swimming lessons will not be held if there is thunder/ lightning or extremely heavy rain. We will still continue to swim if there is light rain. Please call either the Aquatics Counter at 6739-4470 or the Aquatics office at 6739-4450 30 minutes before your class to find out if your class has been cancelled. Members will not be charged for classes cancelled by the Club.

Unfortunately with nearly 900 swimmers per week and limited classes and teachers available, we are unable to offer make-up classes.

If your child is sick, please present a Medical Certificate which covers the dates of the missed lesson(s). Please note that a receipt of payment will not be accepted. The certificate must be received at the Aquatics Counter within a week of the original lesson, or before the end of the month.

Guests are only allowed to enroll in the Aquastars program and swimming camps. Terms and conditions apply. Please check with the Aquatics Counter for more information.

All cancellation requests must be submitted to the Aquatics Counter at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the date of the last lesson Cancellations by phone are not accepted.
